The HomesteadMerino Country Farmstay is a character homestead located on a large High Country merino sheep farm near Lake Tekapo. The homestead was built in 1924 and is a fond family home. Stunning views of Mt Edward and the Mackenzie countryside will help you to relax and unwind, spending long summer evenings in the landscaped gardens. Spacious comfortable bedrooms await you at this B&B farmstay.

Complimentary continental breakfast is included with your stay, accompanied by home grown, home-made condiments. Cooked breakfast including farm fresh eggs, evening meals, picnics, special occasion meals by arrangement. Tea and coffee available 24 hours.

Take time out for a stroll around part of the 16,000 acre farm, visiting the merino sheep (between 5-6,000), or taking Zak our dog for long walks. Situated nestled under the Two Thumb Mountain Range, low country and high country walks available. Greg can take you for a tour around the farm, exploring the high country and surrounds.
